Yesterday, I went to my dear friend Noelle's wedding in Arizona. She was stunning and composed. He was endearingly eager-to-please and palpably in love. The weather was perfect and they said their I-do's with the sun setting over the painted desert. I was one of Noelle's bride's maids and as I waited for Noelle to come down the aisle, I got to lock eyes with my Dave who was sitting in the audience. For those few seconds, I was reminded just why I love weddings so much. Each time you go to one you can't help but remember your own "big day". The nerves, the excitement, the chaos and then the stillness of the moment when it is just you and him, locking eyes, linked in love. And hope. And wonderment. And belief. And relief. And calm assurance that life will be abundant if only you have this person by your side forever.
