1. I DID remember the Christ child almost every time I looked in my little ones faces remembering how tranquil, warmhearted, tenaciously attached, not-of-this-world a small child can be and marvel once again at the CONDESCENSION of Jesus-Christ.
2. I DID NOT pass up even one Christmas goody—and trust me, there were a lot of Christmas goodies.
3. I DID miss my cozy, little house and balmy 75 degree weather, just a little.
4. I DID NOT believe it was possible to clean up throw-up so many times, in so many places.
5. I DID get to witness a miracle when Dave's parents, all ten of his siblings and their spouses sat in the Celestial Room at the Logan temple together. Dave's mom said it was the fulfillment of her lifetime dream. Dave and I adopted the same dream that day.
6. I DID NOT regret forgoing the traditional BIG present with Dave and instead spending that money on small gifts for our stockings (Let me assure you, so much less pressure).
7. I DID love watching Dave's mom literally glow, the day she watched her youngest get married.
8. I DID NOT think Mark could laugh any harder, at himself, naturally, as Master of Ceremonies during the family gift exchange—so fun to watch.
9. I DID sweep the Thatcher family BINGO/White Elephant, taking home a Kindle and an iHome.
10. I DID NOT keep Santa a secret, which means...dum-de-dum-dum-dum...Claire knows! I just couldn't keep up with the lies. It was too hard on me. I crumbled under the pressure. She kept asking so many questions that I had to fess up. Santa's not real!!! Warn your kids in case anything slips out of her mouth.

Now I really understand how precocious Clair is! I understand missing your weather.
no way! you spilled the beans??!! Elyse is still a BIG believer and this year her faith in him only grew because he got her things that she never even mentioned that she wanted....whoops :) We just don't have the heart to tell her.
So many great memories. Glad you ate those goodies, me too ;)
I have to picture of Mark laughing at himself clearly in my mind! haha.
Madisen asked lots of question from a very young age, I was very evasive and just told her that if she believed that he was real than he was, I held on until last year.
It was my favorite Christmas to date, great parties! Thanks for having us in California, it was the best part of the holidays.
Keep pushing the girls Hawaii trip, best idea of 2011!
