Day 7-Incarnation?

Sometimes I wonder who Kennedy looks like and then I will spot a childhood pic of me or Dave and see, smell and see her. This is me when I was just about Kennedy's age, covered in cantaloupe I had devoured from our garden. I love seeing traces of her face and personality in me when I was small. It is so magical how she is part of us.

Day 6-Wo-Wo & CC

Sorry Logan, but the sight of you gnawing on that biter biscuit while Claire sits demurely is just too funny not to post. How could I have ever predicted on this first meeting that these two little cousins would become bosom buddies? I love to sit watch you figure things out, get into mischief and generally adore each other. Claire told me the other day that she was going to marry Logan when she grows up. I responded, "I am sure that he will be at the wedding, but I doubt he will be the groom."

Day 5-Del Mar

Southern California has crazy beautiful sunsets and the clouds are unbelievable. Dave and I were both driving to meet up in Del Mar when we saw this breath-taking cloud formation and sunset. We talked on the phone about it for five minutes until we finally reached each other, we just couldn't resist not sharing its beauty.

Day 4-San Diego

Birth to one year old is mom's special connection time, but there is something about that 12 month mark that make a dad and his baby's relationship come to life. I love seeing Dave remember just how fun this whole baby thing can be.

Day 3-Tuscan Countryside

I should be laying in this field, reading a book and eating aged cheese on a baguette right now. Take me back to Italian spring sailing in 2005. I need you. And I must put on record that one of my favorite sights in the world is lone trees. I love their mysterious and unexpected presence in a field, on a mountainside, on a craggy cliff, wherever.

Day 2-The Reservoir

Is it any wonder that it takes a heck of a lot more motivation to get out for a run, when this isn't my view anymore?

A month in pictures-Day 1

Because I literally can't think of one thing to blog, I have decided to do a month in pictures. The first goes to my little mama, Claire, who spent the first six months of her life in this outfit. We called it the tryptophan suit because within seconds of putting baby C into the suit she would fall fast asleep. If the weather had only complied we could have kept that thing going forever.
